We've recently uncovered a limited amount of these programs which we prepared specifically for the 2005 Tour of America which was produced in part by White Stallion Productions. 36 full-color pages filled with beautiful photographs. This book celebrates the long history of the Spanish Riding School and the Lipizzaner breed. There are special sections commemorating the 60th Anniversary of their WWII rescue by the US 2nd Cavalry and a section detailing the Program of Events of the Performance. Based on a true story, the famed Lipizzaner Stallions from Vienna are threatened by the ravages of World War II. The horses' instructors and riding staff risk their lives to illegally transport them to the safety of a chateau outside the city until American troops return the horses to their rightful location. This film stars Robert Taylor, Lilli Palmer, Eddie Albert and James Franciscus. It is directed by Arthur Hiller.
